With much of the world still asleep, I ventured out into the crisp winter morning to capture the winter snow scape. There’s nothing quite like the sound of fresh snow under your boots, early on a weekend morning. Please enjoy the scenes from my peaceful morning with nature.

A follow up to a post I did a few months ago on Portraits of Philanthropy for the University of Nebraska Foundation.
The best part about this project is the time I get to spend with each of our subjects. Most often we’re photographing at their homes and they all

January 10, 2012 7:32pm was a game changer. Adrianne and I welcomed Eleanora Kathryn into the world. We thought we knew what we were in for, but it has been even better than anything we could have imagined. Staring at her and listening to her make little baby noises has become our new favorite past time. Baby snuggles are the best.  Special thanks to Kate for making Eleanora look so good!

On recent trip to Kauai I stripped my camera gear down to the bone and shot nearly everything with my iPhone 4S. The best camera is almost always the one you have with you and considering the iPhone is nearly an appendage for me it seemed to make sense to document the trip with the 4S.

Over the past year….we have learned a lot about ourselves, refined our craft, honed our vision as a team and have developed even more amazing relationships with new and existing clients.

2011 was a busy year here at Malone & Company, always different projects to stay busy with on top of events happening in our personal lives.

It was especially busy for a few of us….Chris & Natalie got married, Andrew & Adrianne are expecting a newborn any day now and Geoff & Anne tackled a new home renovation.

As always, lots of time spent out on the road. Our equipment cases were packed and re-packed a few times, with more than 475,000 miles traveled between the 5 of us.

We’re all excited for what the future holds!

Each winter, the guys in the bullpen complain about not being able to find an appropriate outfit to wear to holiday parties and family get-togethers. Seeing as they are also the hardest people to shop for (they have everything under the sun), I decided to make them a gift that would hopefully meet all of their holiday needs. So, I borrowed a sewing machine and made them each a festive, Malone & Co holiday sweater. I included everything that a holiday sweater should have: snowflakes, cameras, Christmas trees, a Polaroid, and of course, a Malone & Co logo. Check out a couple of photos and please be kind to my lack of sewing skills, it was my first time. Happy Holidays!

After an extremely productive year, the Malone & Co studio will be closed from 12N on Dec. 23rd and will reopen on Monday January 2nd, to regroup for 2012.

Our clients are continually finding new and cool ways to use video to communicate complex information. T.Rowe Price wanted to help their customers get a handle on IRS reporting changes for 2012 and figured a series of videos would be beneficial, especially for visual learners. The Malone & Co crew teamed up with animation heavyweights Caleb Coppock and Cale Oglesby to produce three short graphic driven videos. You can see how T.Rowe Price has integrated the videos into their site here.

The country, not what you ate last week. I was fortunate to tag along on one of my wife’s work trips and make a photo expedition out of the adventure. If you haven’t been, Turkey is a must see. Istanbul is filled with history and amazing culture. We got but a brief taste during our short stay. We did have some of the finest tasting eats thanks to my wife’s boss, who is Turkish, and helped us find some of the best local dishes. (Mouth watering thinking about it). Enjoy a few favorites here.

Mustache season is upon us once again here at Malone & Co. November as we know it has been replaced with Movember, a nationally known charity event that takes place all month long that raises funds and awareness for men’s health.

After a solid month of growth, some of us don’t have as much to show as the others (especially me, being the youngest crew member).
